I am delighted that my short story ‘Veranda’ (Clare Shaw) will be read at the Solstice Shorts Festival In Cork on 21st December 2018
Keep these dates free as I am working with Quirkhouse Theatre Company in Bury St Edmunds on a new outdoor monologue following Three Courses which was the walking monologue in Colchester. More details to follow…. Clare Shaw
Very excited about Three Courses – my monologue which is to be performed through the cultural quarter of Colchester by Holli Dillon on 18th July. (Clare Shaw)
“What emerged for all to see is a celebration of being middle aged, a book on feminism for the over 40s in an honest and humorous way.”
Vanessa Moon’s very positive feature on Sageism by Clare Shaw featured in the Gazette – June 15.
Great feature written by Stephen Russell with extracts from my book.
My new book, Sageism, will be published later this year. I hope this book will help you think, take action and laugh. I heard Caitlin Moran talking on the radio and she was asked what people should do if they wanted to be a writer like her. Her answer – ‘Have a rant!’. So I did, and this is the result. In homage to her, the subtitle is – How to be an older woman. It is packed with information as well as a funny and wry look at what it’s like to be a middle aged and older woman in this society. It’s a celebration as well as a call for change. I’m really excited about this book and will post the links to buy it as soon as it’s available. Watch this space! (Clare Shaw)
