Frinton Literary Festival 2021

I attended the Frinton Literary Festival and was presented with my winner’s prize by Lady Glencower who gave a hilarious talk about her time as Lady in Waiting to Princess Margaret.

It was good to meet the other runners up and all our stories are on the festival website.

Colchester Eco Festival 2021

I read my short story – THE CLOCK IS TICKING – in the Speaker’s tent at the Eco Festival in Colchester 2021. It was a fantastic day, and want to thank everyone involved in making it happen.

Told from the point of view of someone yet to be born, this is a story to remind us that time is running out for us to address the climate crisis.

About me

I am often asked when I started writing and I suppose if was the Nativity play I wrote when I was eleven. Or maybe before that when I was awarded my writer's badge at Brownies. Or perhaps when I was only six years old and was asked to read out my story in class. The truth is I was born with a pencil in my hand and have been writing as long as I remember. Read more
