AUGUST 2026

I have been busy juggling all my writing – poetry, plays and narrative, as well as running workshops and linking up with other writers. There is quite a community here in Colchester and I am delighted to be a part of it all. Most recently I have been developing a play with the Graeae group at the Mercury theatre and have show cased some of this. It’s called Head in the Sand and I will be working on this later in the year. Meanwhile I am working on another monologue – Lost Down The Sofa – and there are plans for this next February. My book is on the way – watch this space.

Having just performed at Patch, Colchester, I am delighted to be performing again at the Arts Centre, Colchester in March

Delighted with my success in this which means my short story will be included in the anthology – The Fool.

I am currently working on a new novel. This has been long listed for the Exeter Novel Prize and I am now reworking it based on some very positive feedback. WATCH THIS SPACE FOR MORE NEWS ON THIS PROJECT

I made it to the short list and now my story, Glue will be published in THE BOOK OF WITTY WOMEN By Farrago in March 2024.

The judges wrote: “The quality of the writing stood out for us, fantastic and well rounded characters we’ve never seen before and loved spending time with.”

Thrilled to be on the long list for this prestigious prize with my short story – GLUE. Watch this space for the short list in February 2023!

I was delighted to be announced as the winner of the EGT short story competition at an awards ceremony at the beautiful Beth Chatto gardens.

Bill’s Garden is a story of how wild spaces and gardens can really impact on mental health and well-being.

Radio Vision October 2022

My radio play, Bounce, will be performed at Headgate Theatre, Colchester in October 2022 as part of the fringe festival. Griff Scott’s play will be performed alongside this as part of RADIO VISION – radio plays you can watch and hear!
